Richard Lovernick

Current status: Married 

General info: As many of you are aware, I married the love of my life, Kathy, who I started dating while still in high school.  We have been blissfully married since 1974.  We have three adult children and five grandchildren at this point in time.  The oldest, Scott, and his wife Shayla have two children and reside in San Francisco California.  Our middle son, Michael and his wife Abbie have had the most recent addition to our family, Violet, and reside in Chicago.  Our youngest child, Beth and her husband have two beautiful twin daughters and reside in Scottsdale Arizona.  

After graduating from the University of Michigan I did attend law school and have been a practicing attorney in southeastern Michigan since that time.  Kathy who has her masters in special education has been both in the classroom and most recently acting as a teacher consultant in private schools.

Although retirement is not on my horizon we have slowed down a little bit and enjoy traveling (when possible) and enjoying as much time as we possibly can in San Francisco, Scottsdale, Chicago and northern Michigan. 

Favorite memory(ies) from St. Thomas years: There are so many fond memories of my years at St. Thomas high school that it is difficult to pick one as the most memorable.  I truly cherished the bonding that we all experienced despite our very small class.  It has been an incredible experience to pick up as if no time has elapsed whatsoever with many of you in planning this reunion.  Although I have not had contact with many of our classmates over the years, I still feel that special bond that saw us all through those very short years we were together in school.
