General Info: St. Thomas introduced me to Morris Lawrence and Morris wanted me to teach with him. So as soon as I got my degree, I started the Piano Program at WCC and taught English. This was a part-time position because I worked in finance during the day. Eventually, I became a partner in a corporate financial consulting firm. Years later, one of our clients offered me a position as GM of a manufacturing company with a UAW floor. Back then, this was almost unheard of for a woman, so I took the job. I stopped teaching, worked endless hours, and now happen to own the company . . . long story.

Later, I was asked to come back to WCC. Currently I teach Piano and a Management Class for Working Artists. Twelve years ago, I started painting. This was something Morris insisted I try, and I never had the time. I promised him I would get around to it; and so now after all these years, I am painting commissioned portraits. (I painted the family of one of the founders of Fed Ex. The people you get to meet in life, is a story in itself!) Who would believe that Morris, who brought so much joy to everyone, would still impact my life?

St. Thomas gave me life-time friends and countless good memories. I have to say, I really liked our old building. I remember the black boards with wood trim, the sound of the trees when the windows were open and trying to stay awake when the radiators were on!

I wish you all well.
