Current Status: Married Joel D’Orazio in 1988,daughter Gia born in 1991. Two stepchildren, fivestep-grandchildren. Fun fact: our oldest grandchild is the same age as our daughter.

General Info: Graduated with a BFA (studio art) from Ohio University in 1974. Worked full-time as an art director, graphic designer, and illustrator for various publishers and news organizations. My last job was as a features art director for The Washington Post. I took a buyout in 2006 and began my next career as a fine artist and jewelry designer. Artists never retire.

Favorite memories of St. Thomas years: Looking back on the St. Thomas years, I am struck by how unusual it was to have spent grades 3 through 11 at the same small school with the same kids. My father took a job in Washington DC at the beginning of senior year and, after we moved (thanks Dad!), I attended a huge metropolitan public high school. There was no comparison — St. Thomas was better in every way.
